Mrs. Pierce was born and raised in Dalton, GA. And graduated from Dalton High School. She was also a member of South Seminole Baptist Church and the Love Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Towers; second husband, John Pierce; and parents, Luther and Emma Hunsucker
She is survived by her daughters, Diane Cheek and Krista Towers; grandson, Kelly Cheek; granddaughter, Baley Smith; sister, Doris Whiteside of Dalton, GA; and nephew, Michael Whiteside.
There will not be any visitation at the funeral home.
Graveside Services will be at 2 PM on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Whitfield Memorial Gardens in Dalton, GA.
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 404 South Moore Road.
