Clarence W. Metzger

Born in Lehighton on November 22, 1927 he was a son of the late Harvey J. and Bertha A. (Bauer) Metzger. Clarence graduated from Allen High School in 1945 and served in the United States Air Force for two years. After his honorable discharge, Clarence worked for A.D. T. in Allentown for thirty years before retiring. For his 86th birthday his children treated him to a flying lesson, a passion of his since childhood.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was an infant son Charles Metzger.

Surviving is his loving wife of 63 years Doris Metzger; five children, sons, Jeffery and Christopher; daughters, Deborah, LuAnn and Melissa; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and two great great-granddaughters.

A life celebration will be held on Sunday March 23, 2014 from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. in the Community Room of the North Catasaqua Elderly Apartment Complex, at 1400 Main Street, Catasaqua, PA.
