Born in Corinth, NY in 1933, a graduate of Union College, a Navy veteran, a past president of The Municipal Engineer's Society of New Jersey, Dave retired as City Engineer of Summit, NJ in 1979.
Dave was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Ann, in 2005. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Susan and Robert Wenk, James and Angelica Coward, Thomas and Kimberly Coward, Sandra and George Devsurashvili, Steven and Carrie Coward; eleven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Dave had a love of camping, fishing, bocci, handyman projects, and spending time with family. He loved "shooting the breeze" with anyone, and loved to hate the Yankees. Dave provided a continuing source of love and strength for his family.
Per his request, the family has arranged a private memorial service.
