Edna M. Gordon, 91, of Gluco Lodge, formerly of East Stroudsburg, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 28 at St. Luke’s Hospital Monroe Campus. She was the wife of the late George E. Gordon who passed away in 1991.
Born in East Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late William Goucher and Pearl Bryner, of East Stroudsburg.
Although Edna loved to crochet and knit, she took great pride in her ability to make things grow. She spent many hours nurturing her various flower gardens.
Besides her parents and her husband, Edna was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Gordon, her brother Robert Goucher, her sister Anna Marie Hineline and her step-father Jacob Bryner.
Edna is survived by her son Larry Gordon and wife Sherry of The Villages, Florida, her 4 grandsons: Wesley (Amy) of Pensacola, FL, Bradley (Jenny) of Tallahassee, FL, Jeffrey (Sandy) of Fredericksburg, VA and Christopher (Kristen) of Winter Garden, FL. She is also survived by her 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 3 at Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington St., East Stroudsburg. Services will be at 1:30 with Pastor Lynda Keefer officiating. Burial will follow at the Prospect Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made the ReDCo Group or Gluco Lodge, Stroudsburg
