Edward H Stretz

Born in Ridgewood Queens, NY; on January 31, 1943 he was a son to the late Edward H. and Katherine Klien Stretz and was educated in the New York City School System. From a young man Edward was employed in Pizza restaurants in Queens as a Pizza maker and owned and operated Pizza restaurants in Queens; and East Stroudsburg. Most recently he was the owner operator of Rozinas Pizza in East Stroudsburg and Mad Rose Bar and Grill in East Stroudsburg.

He was a member of St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, Milford Road East Stroudsburg and enjoyed playing pool and cards. Ed had a vast knowledge of politics and enjoyed keeping track of politics. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his first son Edward Stretz, brother, Kennith Stretz and sisters, Glacys Stretz and Carol Braun.

Surviving are his loving wife of 36 years the former Linda (Lewis) Stretz Bushkill; sons, Edward H. Stretz III of Lancaster; Wilfredo Stretz of Brooklyn, NY; and Dennis Mennella of Bushkill; daughter, Renee Stretz of Bushkill; grandchildren, Madison-Rose and Gabriel X. Stretz, Tiffany Mennella, Catherine Stretz, Yocasta Stretz, and Kyla Stretz, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday February 12, 2013 at 1:30 P.M. at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church 5171 Milford Road, East Stroudsburg with Rev. Fr. Jeffrey Walsh celebrant. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Family and friends may gather at the church on Tuesday February 12, 2013 from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
