Helen Betty Price

A long, happy and rewarding life ended for Helen “Betty” (Kresge) Price on February 20, 2016. She was born to John J. and Ethel L. (Marvin) Kresge on January 31, 1926 in East Stroudsburg, PA.

On September 12, 1948 she married Clifton Elbert Price. At the time of his death—May 16, 2008, they were married 59 years and 8 months. She is survived by her son Theodore Dean Price and his wife Arlene; Grandson William Clifton Price; Daughters –in-law Caroline Price, Jill Price and Roberta Balcik. Also surviving her is her sister, Gloria Hawk and several nieces and nephews, friends and a special forever friend.

Betty was predeceased by her parents, grandparents, brothers Jack and Daniel Kresge, niece Gail Ann Hawk, son William Charles Price and brother-in-law, James A. Hawk.

During her years of employment she was a steno/bookkeeper/ exec. secretary for six years for her grandfather (he was a Real Estate and Insurance broker and in 1944 was elected as the first Monroe County Coroner.) In 1956 she was employed as Executive Secretary to the President of Heico, Inc. in Delaware Water Gap, PA for 16 years. In March 1972 she was employed in the Monroe County Recorder of Deeds office for nineteen years, ten of which as Chief Deputy Recorder—retiring Dec. 31, 1991.

There will be no services of any kind.
