

Betty Louise Dennis was born on October 11, 1928 in Pueblo, Colorado and died on September 29, 2020 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was the firstborn child of Homer Alonzo Moore and Jessie Mae (McCleery) Moore.
Louise grew up in Mayes County, Oklahoma, graduating from Pryor High School in 1946. She married Ervil Paul Dennis on May 25, 1946. They lived briefly in Portland, Oregon, and Omak, Washington, and Pryor, Oklahoma before moving to the Oklahoma City area in 1951 where they lived the remainder of their lives. Louise’s last home of 42 years was in Edmond, Oklahoma, where she was a member of the Edmond Church of Christ. She spent her last three years at Brookdale Village in assisted living and memory care, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She passed peacefully at Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
When she was able, Louise loved spending time in her garden, and tending to her yard. In her younger years, she spent time sewing for herself, both daughters, and even baby dolls. In the summer months she helped her husband garden, and canning the produce the garden provided. She was especially fond of babies, children, and animals, especially her kitties.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Edith Elizabeth Moore (1930), Opal Frances Denny (2013), and Lula Mae Collins (2016); and husband, Paul (2001). She is survived by her son, Stanley (Judy) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; daughters, Celia Wangler of Loyal, Oklahoma, and Janet (Bob) Helton of The Village, Oklahoma; brother, Harold Lloyd (Barbara) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
