Betty Simon

Betty Simon 76, of Kingfisher, OK, passed away June 20, 2012. Betty was a lifelong resident in Kingfisher County. Betty is survived by her loving husband, Leo Simon; children and spouses, Sheila and Ronnie Nakvinda; Donna and Wally Trotter; Marty and Malinda Vanderpool; Mike and Sharon Simon; Denese Harlow and Regina Simon. Betty is also survived by 4 brothers and their spouses, Lonnie and Marylane Mallett; twin, Bennie and Bonnie Mallett; Wayne and Deuina Mallett; Tommy and Melna Mallett and one sister, Joy Stone. Betty is the grandmother of 12 loving grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and many more beloved family members. Betty was preceded in death by her late husband, Kenneth Vanderpool; parents, Ralph and Ruby Mallett; 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Betty never met a stranger; she always had a smile for everyone she met. She loved time spent with her family and friends. Her hobbies were gardening, baking, quilting, and music. She was an active member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church of Kingfisher. Betty was the strength that held her family together. Her willingness to help others made her a blessing to all. Surely, she was honored that thousands of people joined together to help her family find her.
