Bevelyn Rushbrook of Edmond passed Wednesday, February 10, 2021 unexpectedly in her home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2021 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Leedey, Oklahoma.
Bevelyn (Walton) Rushbrook was born on March 1, 1940 in Leedey, Oklahoma to Orval and Zona Gale (Barten) Walton. She grew up on the family farm Southwest of Leedey, attended Leedey schools, graduating from Leedey High School in 1958. She met and married Harvey Rushbrook while working at Clinton-Sherman AFB. Their life’s journey took them on several stops until his retirement in 1968. In 1970 they purchased their first home and settled in Edmond. She retired from the City of Edmond’s Building Department after many years of service.
Bevelyn loved her family and spending time with all of them as much as possible. She also loved to sew and tinker in her flower beds. Oh yeah, she liked to drive fast too.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie Vloedman and husband Andy of Weatherford; son, Scott Rushbrook and wife Debbie of Delmont, PA; grand-daughters, Mandy Dollarhide and husband Eddie of Stillwater and Jessica Levick and husband Matt of Weatherford; and four great-grandchildren: Alexis Lee, Levi and Luke Levick, and Karsen Dollarhide.
Bevelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey; parents, Orval and Zona Gale; and sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Charles Jones.
