

Bill H. Combs was born February 3, 1937 in Hominy, Oklahoma to Charles C. Combs and Jontie (Venus) Combs. He passed away on Tuesday, November 19th at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Mack H. Combs and Cecil Combs, three sisters Helen Carnagey, Annie Lauri Burrell, and Jeanie Lenz. He is survived by one brother, David M. Combs and wife Shirley of Hoffman Estates, Illinois; and one sister, Lorraine Lay of Owasso, Oklahoma, and many nieces, nephews and friends.Bill grew up in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and graduated from College High School. He furthered his education at the Colorado School of Mines, where he played varsity football. He finished a chemical engineering degree at the University of Oklahoma.His entire professional career was spent working for Phillips Petroleum Co. He held a variety of jobs, most of which dealt with the development, production and sales of plastics products. Many of those years were spent in Japan and Asia, where he was instrumental in the development of their many production facilities. During this time he developed lasting friendships that he continued until his death. Upon his retirement from Phillips Petroleum, he formed his own company, doing business as B. C. Polymer.Memorial services will be held at 1:30 pm, Monday, November 25, 2013 at Baggerley Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond, OK.
