

Born in Waterloo, Oklahoma, November 7, 1926, Bill passed away on April 4, 2010 in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Bill was a Veteran of the Korean War attached to the 556 THT Company. Bill worked for the Union Pacific Railroad in Los Angeles, California for 41 years, retiring in 1986, Bill and his wife moved “Home” to Edmond, Oklahoma. Bill was a member of Bethel Congregational Church and Moderator for 10-years. Bill was known for his gentleness and love of life. Bill loved nature’s wonders. Bill was an avid bowler for 50-years, anchoring the team to numerous titles. Bill also fast-pitched semiprofessional softball for years.
Bill is survived by his wife of 58-years, Billie Louise Thompson, Brother Wallace Thompson, Son’s Larry and wife Gretchen, Ron, Richard and wife Janice, Three grandchildren, Gretchen, Jennifer and Emmalee and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Thursday, April 8, 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, formal Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held Friday April 9, 2:00 pm at Baggerley Funeral Home Chapel 930 S. Broadway, Edmond, Oklahoma 73034 with interment to follow at Whistler Cemetery, NW 206th Street in Edmond.
