He was born to Vylinda Dauphin and Donald Yelton on April 23, 1971, in Midwest City. Cris graduated from Jones High School in 1990. Cris was an electrician by trade and loved the service work he had been doing the past years.
Cris was always ready-set-go from the very beginning of life. He loved all things people, animals, fun, and danger. Cris was riding a bicycle at age 3 and a motorcycle at age 5 - bicycle racing motor-cross from ages 8-12 years old, then motor-cross motorcycles off and on through high school. He played football and basketball in high school, but nothing gave him a thrill like racing and riding. Cris was always full throttle at everything he did. He had a lot of accidents, some not so bad and some that were horrible. Oh yes, in his early 40’s, he decided he could race four wheelers on a short track, and he did, but not for long. He got hurt once there and his darling Brandy put a stop to that! He has been paralyzed and has broken more than 40 bones, some twice or more! We always said he had nine lives because he would not give up. He was just not a quitter. He lived his life to the fullest.
Cris married the love of his life in January of 1999. They have two amazing boys that he was so proud of. Cris loved to spend time with his friends riding Side x Sides and just hanging out. Every Wednesday night was the guy’s “church night” and he hardly ever missed a day. We all know that Cris was not the easiest to get along with at times, but he had the biggest heart and would help anyone any time.
He was a great husband, father, son, brother, and friend and will be missed by many.
Cris is survived by his wife Brandy Yelton; sons Cody and Logan Yelton; father Don Yelton; mother Vylinda Dauphin; stepfather Monte Dauphin; sister Angi Yelton; stepbrothers Marc Dauphin and wife Jacey and Mat Dauphin and wife Angela; nieces Hailey Hanson and Oaklee Dauphin; nephews Dalton Hanson, Kooper Long, and Easton Dauphin; father-in-law Darryl Glover and mother-in-law Cheryl Glover; father-in-law Charles Bennett; sister-in-law Robin Bennett; along with many cousins all of whom he loved with all his heart. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Virgil and Martha Yelton, Kenneth Frazier and Charlene Wilson.
Cris was deeply loved by his family and friends and the loss will be felt by so many.
