Florene Gunter

Florene Gunter went to be with the Lord on Nov. 19th surrounded by her family. She was a resident at Grace Living Center in Edmond for the past 3 1/2 years. Florene was born with a twin sister on Dec. 14th, 1920 to George L. & Pearl (Hipp) Grayson in Mountain View, OK. She moved with her family to Okla. City as a child where she attended Putnam City and Crooked Oak Schools. She married Gerald Gunter in Oct, 1957 and raised one son and one daughter. She was employed for many years at John A Brown in downtown Okla. City. She later took a position with Southwest Radio Church where she worked as an office supervisor until her retirement in 1990. Florene moved to Senior Residence in Edmond in 2003 where she lived until 2008. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia and husband Dean Jordan of Edmond, three grandsons, Todd Jordan & Ryan Jordan of Edmond and David Wiggins of Hendersonville, NV, two great-grandchildren, Kaiden & Kenadi Jordan, two nieces, Dorothy Robinson of Blanchard and Barbara Hedrick of Okla. City and several great-nieces and nephews.. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Wayne and grand-daughter Margie. Three sisters, Naomi Goodin, Norene Scott and Mildred Smith, one brother, Glen Grayson, 2 nieces and 1 nephew. Although we've lost the heart of our family, heaven has gained a beautiful angel.
