Foy was born on April 11, 1922 in Ada, Oklahoma. He lived through the Great Depression and served in World War II in the 45th Thunderbird Infantry Division where he received a Silver Star, two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. He would participate in 8 of the 9 major campaigns in Europe, only missing the invasion of Normandy. Following the war he held many jobs, including being a butcher, working for an oil company and ultimately co-founding Audio Equipment Company in 1956 with Ralph Dunn. He loved golf, fishing, and family as evidenced by serving as his son’s Boy Scout leader.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Jo in 2006.
He leaves loving memories to be cherished by his wife, Sandra; daughter, Sharon (Don) Sigler; son, Ed (Ruth Ann) Rose; 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
