Best friends in High School. We had some many good times and great memories. We were all about laughs and enjoying what teen years offered us in our Metropolitan Detroit upbringing. We even enjoyed each other's parents and had good times with them.  I respected Garret so much I named my 2nd son after him. I did like the name as well. I'm thankful I was able to stop by and visit him and Barbara a couple years ago on a bucket list road trip I took. I was proud to have Garret as a lifelong close friend. I only regret the distance that kept us from making more memories, but cherish forever the ones we had. Garret is a success story. He worked his way through college and made his dreams come true. A great architect, husband, and father. Loved you like a brother Garret. RIP my dear friend.

I am so sorry for your loss. Garret was my cousin and I have fond memories. He was such a wonderful person. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless You.

My children and I send our deepest sympathies to the entire family. Being one of the youngest cousin’s in Garrett’s family I did not get to interact much with him, but I will never forget being allowed to go to his and Barbara’s wedding. I think of how happy he was and how kind he was to a little cousin that got to feel all grown up. Praying that memories now will keep Barbara and the entire family comforted. God bless.

My deepest sympathies to all the family. Garrett was a wonderful nephew, and I remember when he was quite young that his mom came to me to see if I had drafting equipment that Garrett could have. I was so proud to give to him what I had because he was so excited about it. My heart is truly saddened for Barbara and the whole family, as I know Garrett was truly loved.
