She was born to Gerald W. and Golden Ruby (Clifton) Franklin and was the seventh of 14 children. Jo Ann worked as a waitress in Perry, OK where she met her husband, Charles. She attended Waterloo Church of the Nazarene.
She is preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Freeman and son Charles R. Freeman.
Jo Ann is survived by her brothers John Franklin of Perry, OK and Clifton Franklin of Woodland, CA; sister Rosa Silva of OKC; son Lynn Freeman of Checotah, OK; daughter Deborah Wilkowske and husband Lawrence; five grandchildren Stacey Freeman, David Freeman, Adam Freeman, Lawrence E. Wilkowske, and Matthew Wilkowske; ten great grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Mercy Hospice for their gentle care and support.
A private graveside service will be held to celebrate Jo Ann’s life.
