

Lee Williams, born and raised in Waco Texas, passed away peacefully on December 16th, 2015. Lee was born on December 7th, 1949, to Curtis and Norvella Williams. She spent her early childhood days in Waco, Texas. After graduating from high school, Lee attended and graduated from Texas Women’s University. During the summer and in the fall, Lee began her career at Southwestern Bell, Waco, Texas. Her career took her to several cities and states, beginning in Austin, Texas, Overland Park, Kansas, Houston, Texas and finally Edmond, Oklahoma. This is where she retired after 32 years of service with Avaya Corp.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Norvella Williams, and sister Climmie Johnson. Lee is survived by her four brothers; Curtis Williams, Jr., Timothy Williams, Sr., Elbert Williams and Johnny Williams. Her sisters; Rose Garrett (John), Joan Williams (Ronnie) and Vera Harris (Anthony). Very close niece, Jameshia (Joi) Bailey, two other special nephews Walter Bailey (Allie) and Nahari Johnson, Donovan Turner and Aniyah Sumpter, who were a special-special part of her life. Many, many other nieces, nephews and cousins. Last, but not least, a very loyal and special friend, co-worker and confidant, Miss Audry Brown and her daughter Jessie Brown.
