Mike was born September 18, 1965 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He was the son of Donna and Edward Wade Floyd. Mike grew up in Bartlesville and graduated from Bartlesville High School in 1984. Mike was a member of the Debate and Speech team, and the tennis team. After graduation Mike attended the University of Oklahoma graduating in 1988 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. On July 24, 1994 Mike married Elena Bowman. The couple had two children Emily and Charles. Mike loved spending time with his wife and children and was always there to support them in their activities.
Mike began his sales career with Data Times. He had an opportunity to move on to the Dr Pepper Snapple Group where he enjoyed a successful 21 year career as a regional sales manager.
Mike is survived by his wife of 24 years Elena and his two children Emily Jo and Charles Edward. His parents Donna and Edward Wade Floyd, sister Amber Floyd Johnson and husband Timothy Johnson and their children Bradley Charles and Amanda Michelle. Mother and father-in-law Winnie and Charles Bowman. Brothers-in-law Tim (Teresa) Bowman and family, Paul (Margie) Bowman and family, and sister-in-law Vicki (Mark) Dean and family.
Services to celebrate Mike’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Edmond First Church of the Nazarene at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, an account has been established for the children’s college through GoFundMe: The Floyd Children Scholarship Fund
