Patricia Cordell

Patricia Cordell was known to be a strong loving woman who always seemed to have the right answers. There were times she had to be tough on her children, but it was because she cared deeply. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. Her passion and love for her family is something that they will never forget.

She was a talented artist and published author. She wrote a novel and many poems that her family cherishes. Patricia also enjoyed listening to Freddy Mercury and watching funny videos with her family. They shared many special moments that they will hold dear to their hearts.

Patricia was born on February 12, 1941 in Austin, Texas to Grady Lee and Avna (Ware) Leggett. She passed away on August 26, 2023 in Bethany, Oklahoma. Growing up, Patricia and her family lived in various towns in Texas before moving to Edmond, Oklahoma. She later went on to live in Harrah, Oklahoma, to be closer to family.

She married Lenn Olen Cordell in the 1950’s, and they shared many years together until his passing in 2005. Together, they had 3 children, Terry, Vickie and Darrell.

Patricia is preceded in death by her husband Lenn, sons, Terry Cordell and Darrell Cordell; brothers Eddie Leggett and Greg Leggett; sisters, Arah Larue Leggett Walden and Elizabeth Stackhouse. She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Cordell; grandchildren, Billy Sutton, Kandice Sutton, Bobby Cordell and Chip Cordell; great-grandchildren, Bradley Sutton, Rylenn Sutton, Savannah Sutton and Rhiannon Sutton; brothers, Gary Leggett and Grady Leggett Jr.; and fur babies, John Wayne and Weezer.
