

Patricia Helen (Guilfoyle) Leiser, 99, passed away peacefully in her home in Edmond, Oklahoma, Tuesday, July 5, 2016. She was born on St. Patrick’s Day March 17, 1917, in Mendota, Illinois, to Martin and Catherine Guilfoyle.
After high school she furthered her education in accounting and bookkeeping and was employed by Purity Ice Cream in Mendota. Patricia married William R. Leiser on October 12, 1940, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mendota, Illinois. She worked with her husband Bill, co-owner and publisher of the Mendota Reporter with preparation and publication of the weekly paper until their retirement. Mrs. Leiser lived in Edmond since 1983. She enjoyed helping at Britton Printing, Oklahoma City, as receptionist and bookkeeper. She was active at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church visiting the sick, administering Holy Communion to the homebound, greeter, usher, member of a prayer group, Time Out and a card circle group at St. Eugene’s. She enjoyed golf, bridge and movies.
She is survived by a daughter, Jeanne K. Ohsann, Aurora, Colorado; sons William A. Leiser and wife Vonda, Jupiter, Florida; Gary A. Leiser and wife Jean Ann, Edmond, Oklahoma; Ken A. Leiser and wife Beverly, Nashville, Tennessee; ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, and 3 brothers and loving husband William R. Leiser of 56 years.
