He graduated from Edmond High School in 1949. Richard retired from Dolese Bros. Concrete Company after 54 years of service. He was a long-standing member of the Oddfellows Lodge and held many positions, including Deputy Grand Marshall.
Richard was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Janell; daughter Janice Wells; 2 brothers, Allen & Bobby; & 2 sisters, Betty Wilkerson & Elizabeth Hutton.
He is survived by son-in-law John S Wells; grandson John A Wells & wife Cindy; and the light of his life, great-granddaughter Addison Wells, all of Edmond; many nieces; nephews; and a host of friends.
Richard will be laid to rest in Arcadia Cemetery, Arcadia, Oklahoma.
