Shirley Jacks

Shirley Ann Jacks, 71, of Edmond, OK passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013. She was born October 16, 1941 in Ada, Oklahoma to E.W. and Marguerite (Martin) Deatherage. Shirley graduated from Bethany High School and later met and married Glendon Jacks and from that union came two children. She loved being a wife and mother and later being a grandma to her four grandchildren. She was never happier than when surrounded her family when they would all come together for game night.

She loved to garden and put together puzzles her favorite being Thomas Kincaid and she was a longtime member of the Edmond Church of Christ in Edmond. She is preceded in death by her parents. Shirley is survived by her husband of 53 years, Glendon Jacks; children, Glenda Smith and husband Mike and Terry Jacks and wife Melissa; brothers and sisters, Jolene Vaness, Sharon Knipp, Mary Coffey, Brenda Catron, Jerry Deatherage and Steve Deatherage; grandchildren, Jason Smith, Stacee Smith, Lindsey Campbell and husband Cory and Chelsey Daitch and husband Daniel; great grandchildren, David Smith and Rylie Smith.

Services will be 2:00pm, Friday, January 11, 2013 at Edmond Church of Christ with interment following at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond.
