

Tommie JoElla (Baker) Inman, 91, passed away July 11, 2014. She was born on Sept. 18, 1922 in Celina, Texas to Bill & Helen (Cripps) Baker. Her family moved to Skiatook, OK where she worked as a dental hygienist and where she met “The Love of her life” Paul William Inman, in 1949. Three weeks later they were married and from that union came five sons, Jim, Larry, Paul William II, Tom and Wade; and the beginning of a great partnership for the next 50 years. Due to Pauls’ military career they would live in Munich Germany, Louisiana and Ardmore, OK before settling in Edmond in 1963 where Tommie would begin a 20 year career working at 1st Natl. Bank of Edmond as back office manager. She & Paul were members of 1st Christian Church of Edmond. They were both founding members of The Edmond Bulldog Booster Club. Tommie was a 20 year volunteer for many organizations, the last of which was Pink Ladies for Edmond Memorial Hospital Auxiliary where she was elected president of the organization. She and Paul were as consistent and supportive parents and grandparents as you would ever find. They would never miss a musical activity, athletic event or PTA meeting their children was involved in. Tommie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sons, James T. Inman and infant son, Larry; sisters, Peggy Hughart, Kate Rasberry & Billie Pursley. She is survived by her sons, Paul Inman and wife Cindi of Lodi, CA, Tom Inman and wife Melonneise of OKC, Wade Inman and wife Carrie of Edmond, OK; daughter-in-law, Patricia Inman of Culpeper, VA; sisters, Dorothy (Cooper) Russell, Patsy (Sandridge) Pippen and Barbara Fuller all of Skiatook; grandchildren, Josh and Jacob Inman, U.S. Airman Taylor Inman and Macy McGuire, and Chad and Ashley Inman; Great Grandchildren, Audree McGuire, Chase Inman and Parker Inman; and numerous nieces & nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 19 at Baggerley Funeral home in Edmond, OK with interment following at Gracelawn Cemetery.
