Wilma "Gene" Stewart, 93, wife of the late George Wayne Stewart, passed away early Sunday morning, in her home in the Village.
Born 8/20/1924, in Oklahoma City, she was the oldest daughter of Jim & Anna Carlisle.
Gene graduated from Mustang High School in 1942. She married Wayne her senior year before he left for the war overseas. She was a homemaker, raising four children, as well as working alongside Wayne on the dairy farm they owned for several years. She loved to play bridge & during their retirement years took up square dancing.
In addition to her husband Wayne, she is preceded in death by her two daughters, Dianna Cox and Bonita Dominguez; her son Gerald Stewart; her granddaughter Lisa Dominguez; and her two sisters, Ruthann Garner & Patty Spengos.
She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Allen; 4 grandchildren, Dusty Allen, Shelly Goodwin, Clifton Stewart, Stacie Wilson; & 7 great-grandchildren.
