Adele E. Bendoritis

9 May, 193916 June, 2020

It is with saddened hearts that we announce on Tuesday June 16th, 2020, Adele Bendoritis passed away at the age of 81 after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer.

Adele was born on May 9, 1939 to John and Julia Kunigiskis and raised on a farm in Thorhild Alberta. She was the youngest and only daughter and has been predeceased by her three older brothers John, Joe and Peter.

She received her nursing degree from the University of Alberta. Adele met the love of her life, Constantine Gus Bendoritis, and on December 30, 1961 they married. Throughout their 58 year marriage, Adele and Gus worked alongside each other through farming and their various businesses. Together with a strong love for family, they raised four daughters and two sons.

Left to remember her love are Adele’s six children, Connie (Doug), Roxanne (Willie), Bonnie (Rick), Joanne, Chris (Wendy) and Paul (Tara), twenty-three grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and many relatives and friends.

Through quiet courage and resilience Adele was devoted to everything she pursued. She nourished the people around her with love and faith. In addition to being an exceptional wife, mother and grandmother, Adele had an unwavering faith in God, in which she shared through endless hours making rosaries.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, June 19, 2020 for the immediate family.

In lieu of flowers and in honor of Adele, donations would be graciously accepted by Our Lady of Victory Catholic Cemetery Fund in Thorsby
