APRIL 24, 1964 - JUNE 17, 2020
With heavy hearts our family wishes to say farewell. Andreas is survived by his mother, Christa Schoeler (Keith Logan); daughter, Maria Schoeler; sister, Karin Schoeler; dearest love, Elke Ebkes; and so many special cousins, aunts, uncles, and beloved friends. He has joined in spirit with his father, Walter Schoeler; son, Eric Schoeler; and very special Opa Walter and Oma Gertrud Schoeler.
Andreas lived the last few years in Northern Germany. He was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, however, he also resided in Parksville, British Columbia and Thousand Oakes, California.
Andreas’s great love was the outdoors: fishing the waters in Campbell River and boating and water-skiing at the cottage at Lake Isle. He was also an extraordinary salesman and could sell you almost anything. He had many business ventures revolving around vehicles and websites.
Charming and kind, were how so many remember him. He enjoyed a good prank and liked to make people smile. His love of German cooking was legendary, and we are sure he holds the record for eating the most German potato dumplings in one sitting.
His family and friends were his everything. Now he can watch over us all in Spirit. Watch for him in the birds he sends and the smiles he leaves us with.
An intimate Celebration of his Life will be planned for the spring of 2021 in Edmonton, Alberta. In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations may be made to The Alberta Lung Association or The Heart and Stroke Association of Canada.
“Death is nothing else but going home to God, the bond of love will be unbroken for all eternity.”
