Sister, mom, (great) grandma, you loved me since the day I was born, but I’ve loved you my whole life. Now that you’re gone the world is little less…something…kind, rich, loving, funny, warm. You taught us about hard work, the grace of forgiveness, and most importantly, you shared the value of family. Though we’ll never share another meal, phone call or hug, we will carry you in each garden we plant, the flowers of summer, in every hummingbird that graces our sight, and the calves and cows in the pasture in spring. Our hearts hurt now, but only because we loved you so much. You will be deeply missed. Until we meet again.
Anne is survived by her daughter, Rosanne Oatway (Philip); her granddaughters: Tasha Oatway McLay (Ryan) and their children, Jack, Max, Philip, and Delaney, Trina Oatway, Amy Heinen (Dirk) and their children, Cole, Morgan, and Jesse, and Ashley Whyte (Matt) and their children, Riley and Carson; her sisters, Vera Kristansen (Lyle) and Nena Pearson (John); her brother, Art Sharko; and many nieces and nephews. She’s predeceased by Anita Ballos (Peter), two brothers-in-law, and her parents, Leo & Pauline.
Please join us in a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 1:30pm at Red Willow Community Church, 15 Corriveau Avenue, St. Albert, AB.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate your support of the Edmonton SPCA or SCARS - charities dear to Anne's heart. There wasn’t an animal she didn’t love.
