Brad Gallamore lived life the way it should be lived—boldly, hilariously, and always with a great story to tell. Born in Calgary but proudly calling Edmonton home, Brad was the kind of guy who never turned down an adventure. Whether he was (allegedly) running from a buffalo or just retelling that same story for the hundredth time, he was the life of the party, keeping everyone entertained with his legendary storytelling and quick wit.
A die-hard Edmonton Elks fan, Brad held season tickets for over 25 years—he even had his name on a plaque to prove it, and if you were willing, he’d happily take you to see it. His love for football extended beyond the stands, as he took part in a long-standing fantasy football league with his closest friends. Brad also had a deep appreciation for music and movies, though he never quite forgave his kids for their love of the Fast and the Furious franchise.
Brad and his high school sweetheart, Terry, built a beautiful life together, raising three amazing children who inherited his love for fun, family, and—unfortunately for him—those Fast and the Furious movies. He adored his children and was their biggest fan, whether he was coaching, sitting through endless dance and cheer routines, or just making sure they always knew how proud he was of them. His greatest joy, however, was being “Papa” to his beloved grandchildren, whether that meant splashing around in the pool or sharing his passion for the Elks with the next generation.
Though he loved his children fiercely, he may have spoken even more highly of the spouses they chose—who, in his eyes, became his own kids. He was immensely proud of the family they built together.
Brad shared a special bond with his sister Shawna, probably because their 10-year age gap kept them from ever having a real sibling rivalry. He was an amazing big brother, though he often looked up to Shawna’s husband, Patrick, as if he were the older one. Before he became an incredible Papa, Brad was an incredible uncle to Jenessa and Dominic, mastering the art of showing up in the best way possible—whether that meant dressing up as Santa, tagging along on family trips to Mexico, or simply being there to make life more fun.
Brad is reunited with his parents, Jim and Beverly Gallamore. He leaves behind his beloved wife Terry Gallamore, his sister Shawna (Patrick) Lam, his children Ryan (Mandy) Gallamore, Krystal (Armando) Bavaro, and Bradley (Katelyn) Gallamore, along with his cherished grandchildren Gavin, Aubrey, Carmen, and Marcello. He is also lovingly remembered by his niece Jenessa and nephew Dominic.
A memorial will be held at Hainstock's Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with refreshments to follow. In true Brad fashion, the family invites everyone to Duggan’s Boundary Pub afterward to share a drink, some laughs, and a few good stories in his honor.
To send him off properly, we leave you with a quote from The Godfather:
"Great men are not born great, they grow great."
Brad certainly did.
