Byung Yun Chang

Born on December 25, 1936 in Chun Nam, South Korea, Byung grew up with deep appreciation for respect, family, and friends.

Byung is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Moon Ja, and his family Bong Min and Mako, Sun Mee, James, and grand-daughter Manna, remembering him as “Haal-Ah-Buh-Jee”.

Throughout his life, Byung was known for love and unwavering integrity. He built a fulfilling career as a business owner where he was respected for his dedication and work ethic.

Outside of work, Byung found joy in the simple things. He was an avid golfer, gardener, wood worker, and cook. He was often found tinkering in the garage and telling stories around the dinner table.

A celebration of Byung’s life will be held on October 10, 2026 at Hainstock’s Funeral Home and Crematorium located at 9810 – 34th Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the medical teams involved for their compassionate care.
