Carol lived her life with an extraordinary combination of strength, grace, humour and kindness. She was beautiful inside and out, always impeccably put together, and possessed a presence that was impossible to forget. Glamorous and dignified, yet never taking herself too seriously, Carol had a quick wit, an infectious laugh and a wonderful ability to find humour in almost any situation. She brought laughter, warmth and joy to the lives of so many people fortunate enough to know her.
Carol was a woman of remarkable courage and determination. Even throughout her battle with cancer, she remained fiercely true to herself—strong, independent and surrounded by the people and things she loved. She faced every challenge with the same grace and tenacity that defined her life.
She will be deeply missed by her fiancé, Daniel Cavanagh, whose love, devotion and unwavering support meant so much to Carol, particularly throughout her illness. She will also be deeply missed by her sisters, Eileen and Gloria, her family and many friends who loved her dearly. Her loyal girlfriends held a special place in her heart, and the friendships she treasured will endure through the countless memories they shared.
Carol was predeceased by her mother and father; her brothers, Alan and Ken; and her loving partner, Aime Perras.
Carol leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, adventures and friendships. She loved to travel, embrace new adventures, celebrate life and, most of all, spend time with the people she loved. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome and completely at ease. Her elegance, humour, spirit and enormous heart will be remembered by all who knew her.
Carol lived life on her own terms. She was strong-willed, funny, kind, beautiful and always herself. The love she gave and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to have shared her life.
As Carol would have wanted, her life will be celebrated with good food, good drinks, good friends and, of course, plenty of laughter.
She will be dearly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
