It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Corazon Santiago Julian on July 14, 2026, at the age of 85.
Born on April 3, 1941, in the Philippines, Corazon was the beloved daughter of Mariano Julian and Lourdes Julian, who both preceded her in death. She lived a life defined by unconditional love, unwavering faith, resilience, generosity, and an extraordinary devotion to her family.
Corazon was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose greatest joy was caring for those she loved. Whether as a homemaker, entrepreneur, or family matriarch, she dedicated her life to providing for her children and creating a home filled with warmth, compassion, and laughter. Her strength, kindness, wisdom, and selfless nature touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was married to Federico Sortonis, who passed away in 1977. Together they were blessed with four children:
• Roland Poe Julian Sortonis (deceased), husband of Esperanza Toledo Sortonis, and loving father of Catherine, Caren, Carrie, Eroll, Rose Anne, and Rochelle Sortonis, together with their spouses and children.
• Robert Sortonis, formerly partnered with Ana Marie Salva, and father of Roan James Sortonis.
• Faye Lopez, common-law partner of Dong Estela, and loving mother of Harris and Geraline, Gracejoy and Kevin, Jamilyn and Rennan, Roxcellielaine and Isaac, Roxwell, JiaFayeJoy, and JanaMae, together with their spouses and children.
• Mhar Julian Sortonis, husband of Maria Carmela Sortonis, and father of Mhartin Sortonis, Marcus Sortonis, Mharnie Sortonis, Christine Mae Sortonis, and Donna Mae Sortonis. Mharnie and her spouse Amanda are also blessed with children.
Later in life, Corazon shared many wonderful years with her common-law partner, Felix Lazaro Sr., who passed away in 2010. Together they were blessed with five children:
• Felix Lazaro, husband of the late Daisy Terez, and father of Diana Jane Lazaro, Dhaniel Rose Lazaro-Nacor (Bryan Nacor), Danica Dimple Lazaro, together with Mark Jocelle Abrigo, John Michael Lazaro (Riza Gallarde), Devo Mae Lazaro, Catherine Jhane Athena Lazaro, John Christopher Lazaro, and Jhon Eric Lazaro.
• Jocelyn Aquino, wife of Edgardo Aquino, and mother of Lourdes Kimberly Aquino (wife of Dondon Valladolid) and proud grandmother of Kean Aquino, Kylie Valladolid, Kyla Valladolid, and Katherine Valladolid.
• Noel Lazaro, husband of Brenda Barin, and father of Kyle Cyrus and Ysabella Alexandra.
• Solomon Lazaro, husband of Analyn Lazaro, and proud father of Zhane Anthony, Zyryl Andre, and Zhoey Anne.
• Maria Lourdes Lazaro.
Corazon was also a cherished sister to:
• Lilia Julian Bonifacio and family
• Mariano Julian and family
• Nellie Julian Navarro and family
• Augusto Julian and family
• Raquel Julian Jonas and family
• Reynaldo Julian and family
• Teresita Julian and family
• Edgardo Julian and family
• Julia Julian-Sabas and family
She leaves behind a large and loving family of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends whose lives were forever enriched by her love, generosity, wisdom, and unwavering support.
Although our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on through the values she instilled, the family she nurtured, and the countless memories she created. Her love was the foundation of her family, and her spirit will continue to guide all who knew and loved her.
