Darren Joseph Purschke

It is with great sadness that the Family of Darren Purschke announces his sudden passing on May 25th, 2025 at the age of 60. He will be deeply missed by his loving Wife Vivian, his Mother Frances, Sister Darlene, Brother Garry (Eunice), Nephews Andrew (Carrie), Grandnephew Oliver, Grandniece Brianna, David (Tatiana), Step Son Corey, Step Daughter Brittany, Step Granddaughter Dawsyn, Father-in-law Henry, Mother-in-law Sophie, Brother-in-laws: Wally, Rick, Greg, and numerous Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, many Loving Friends, and your Puppy Chloe. Darren was predeceased by his loving Father Norman Purschke (POPS!), Grandparents Joseph (Elizabeth), Adolph (Susan), and Step Grandmother Mary.

"In tears we saw you sinking. We watched you fade away. You suffered much in silence, you fought so hard to stay. You faced your task with courage, your spirit and did not bend. But still you kept fighting until the very end. God saw you getting tired and when a cure was not to be, he put his arms around you and whispered... Come with Me! So when we saw you sleeping so peaceful, free from pain, we could not wish you back to suffer that again." Darren will be with us forever until we meet again! We Love You! The Family would like to express our gratitude for all the prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.

Celebration of Life will be held on: Sunday June 29, 2025 at the Leefield Community League from 1:00 pm till 7:00 pm. Address: 7910-36 Ave, Edmonton, Alberta

Order of Service: Eulogy, Family Tributes, Sharing Memories (Open Mic) and a Celebration of Life slideshow. Dinner to follow at 4:00 pm.

A regular Mass will be held in memory of Darren at the Resurrection Catholic Church on July 4th, 2025 at 9:00am. Address: 10555-50th A St, Edmonton, Alberta. All is welcome to join.
