Dear Rose Marie, Justin and Denielle,
I’m shaken and saddened to hear about Dave’s passing—he was a very special person and someone who played a memorable role in my life. I fondly remember when Dave and I worked together at Keystone in the late 1980’s. Dave had just come to Edmonton from Lac La Biche and was starting his new “big city” life. Dave was a quick learner and had a great sense of humour—he was well-known and well-liked by vendors, customers and co-workers!
Fast forward to June of 1992, when Summit Valve started up I was thrilled when Dave joined Summit as employee #3—his enthusiasm, work ethic and friendly spirit was such an asset and buoyed us in those early years! Our Friday afternoon sales meetings consisted of beers in the hot tub. Those were great memories that will never be duplicated. We were a great team and we enjoyed our small successes as the company grew.
Fast forward again to earlier this past Spring when I unexpectedly ran into Dave at a conference. We talked as if no time had passed…we had some good laughs and caught up on each other’s lives. For this opportunity, I am so grateful.
Dave, you were truly one of the “good guys” and I am saddened to think that we won’t run into each other again. God speed be with you my friend…

I have been fortunate to have you as a co-worker and a friend for 17 years. You are going to be missed big guy. A great salesman and an even better person. One thing is for sure, you'd always hear Dave coming before you saw him. Your boisterous laugh and happy and light-hearted personality will surely be missed.

My condolences to the family and friends of Dave. We have all lost a great one.

Rose I am deeply sorry for your loss. I remember David as a man with a great sense of humour and passion for life from the few times i met him. It left a lasting impression on me. That moustache rivaled Magnum PI. The world has lost a great heartbeat but somewhere has gained a true character

Dear Rose Marie, we were so shocked and saddened by this tragic news. While we only had two times together with you in Jamaica, we have warm memories of both of you. David's warmth, humor and kindness were qualities that just stood out right from meeting him. You both displayed kindness to us despite us being new to the group that enjoyed Jamaica together. You celebrated our marriage with us and we'll not forget you. Please know you are in our prayers.

Our deepest sympathy,

Tom & Stacy Schuiteman
