Donald Irwin Brown

October 7, 1940 – October 30, 2023

It is with deep sadness that the family of Donald Brown announces his passing on Monday, October 30, 2023, at the age of 83 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children Linda (Maury) Tymchuk of Edmonton and Greg Brown of Kamloops, BC; five grandchildren, Earl, Ariana (Mike), Adrienne (Jon), Dustin, and Trayton. Also survived by family in Calgary, Slave Lake, and Delta, BC. Predeceased by his loving wife Shirley in 2016 and by his parents Evelyn G. Brown of Calgary and Jack H. Brown of Saskatchewan.

Don and Shirley were married on November 4, 1961, and moved to Vegreville, Alberta for his first job with Alberta Government Telephones. This was where they made the first of many lifelong friendships that continued after moving to St. Paul, Alberta where many more friends enriched their lives. Don proudly worked for AGT/Telus until his retirement, after which he spent much time golfing, curling, and volunteering in the community with his dear friend Paul Boisvert. It was a happy life well lived, as he and Shirley enjoyed their five grandchildren, traveled, played bocce ball, and attended many other events at St. Paul Seniors Center.

The family wishes to thank Unit 2B at Villa Caritas and McConnell Place West for their loving care of Dad/Grandpa over the last few years.

We love you forever Dad, missing you already. May you rest in peace with Mom.
