Donald Chimera

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Chimera on May 27th, 2026 at the age of 81 with his family by his side.

Don’s legacy is one of dedication – to his family, his work, and the simple joys of life that brought him happiness. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved and knew him.

Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife Audrey; son Jeffrey (Jill) and grandson Carter; son Jason (Sarah), grandson Cale and granddaughter Ryann; daughter Dana and grandsons Riley and Aiden; Dennis’ partner Dorothy Sherman; as well as his extended family and friends.

Don was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Frances; twin brother Dennis; in-laws Bill and Mabel Sol; sister-in-law Maxine Latour, and brother-in-law Bill Good.

Respecting Don’s wishes, a private family gathering will take place at a later date.

Donations may be made in memory of Don to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or a charity of your choice. If you are able to, consider donating blood to the Canadian Blood Services.
