Doreen Beverly Alma Chopp

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doreen B. A. Chopp on July 12, 2026, at the age of 90. Our beloved mother passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Roozen Family Hospice Center, Pilgrims Rest.

Doreen will be lovingly remembered by her children Roseanna Visser, Alan Chopp and Kelleen (Guy) Lemay, Grandchildren Glen (Amberlie) & Brent Visser, Shelly (Bryan) Wilson, Anthony (Alison) & Philip Chopp, Chance Chopp, Samantha, Jessica, Miranda, & Drew Chopp, Lucas Lemay, her 9 Great Grandchildren, & her companion Bill Mitchell. Along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Doreen is predeceased by her late husband L. J(John) Chopp, and her sons John, Mark & Andrew. By her father George Jackson, mother Alma (stepfather George) Keen.

Doreen was an avid volunteer in St. Albert and Edmonton. She will be remembered for her energy, kindness, humor and dedication.

A Celebration of Doreen's life will be held at Memories Funeral Home, 13403 St. Albert Trail NW Edmonton, AB. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 7:00 pm with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Doreen’s name directly to the Pilgrims Rest Society.
