Edgar was born on February 22, 1955 in Aparri, Cagayan, Philippines to Eliseo Tamayo and Lourdes (Perez) Tamayo. He was the youngest son of four children: Sam, Alice, and Lucille. Edgar was preceded in death by his father Eliseo Jacinto Tamayo, mother Lourdes Perez Carino, his sister Lucille, and his son Stephen. Edgar is survived by his wife Florida, his two children Luke and Hyacinthe, four grandchildren Lena, Marcus, Noah and Oliver, and by his siblings Alice and Sam.
A Prayer Vigil will be held on Friday, March 10, 2022 at 7:00 pm at Memories Funeral Home 13403 St. Albert Trail Edmonton, Alberta.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Parish, 75 Poirier Avenue, St. Albert, Alberta on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 10:00 am with Reverend Anthony and Reverend Tensfu officiating. A graveside service will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
