At 4:10 a.m. on Friday, February 2, Elma Stack passed away at the age of 93 years less a day with her daughter present. She is survived by her children Debra and Robert; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Elma was predeceased by her husband Elmer; her parents Rose and Tofiel; all of her siblings—Elsie, Leo, Carl, Tillie, Ben, Eddie—and their spouses. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Good Samaritan Southgate Care Centre where Elma was tenderly cared for and befriended since August 2014. Her Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Hainstock’s Funeral Home, 9810-34 Avenue, Edmonton, AB with Chaplain Angela King officiating. Viewing will begin one hour before the service. Interment will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Elma be made to Good Samaritan Southgate Care Centre, 4225-107 St NW, Edmonton, AB T6J 2P1 or to The Edmonton Humane Society, 13620-163 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5V 0B2.
