Elmer & family:  So very sorry to learn of Martin's passing.  We were good friends together in the early 60's, growing up together at Windermere.  Special times I remember to this day. Sincere condolences.

Dear Uncle Elmer, Jackie, Shaun, Sharon, and family, I am so very sorry to hear the sad news of cousin Martin's passing. I will always remember fondly my very pleasant visit with him, Jackie, and Sharon in 2005. Please know that my family and I are thinking of you during this difficult time.

Martin and I were school mates at Queen Elizabeth High School many years ago and later took some evening courses together. Although I have not seen or heard from Martin in many years I will always remember the good time we had. RIP my friend.

Martin and I first met each other when we were in grade 7 at Queen Elizabeth School in N.W. Calgary.  This would have been about 1960.  At that time one of our common friends was Robbie MacArthur.  We did not do much as a threesome, but Martin and I took to doing little hikes together to the West of his parents house and pack a lunch of a half size cans of Heinz's that we were able to purchase for 15 cents (despite this high cost you must realize that this is all relative to the times).  At lunch time we would pick a camp spot, start a fire unsupervised (in those days we were allowed to have matches) and warm up our beans.  Sometimes they got burnt on one side but we ate them anyway because we cooked them ourselves on our own fire and after all, we were only 13 years old.  Great memory with Martin!!!

Sharon and Jackie, I'm so glad we had the chance to go out with Martin for dim sum in January . I'll remember his sense of humour and the way he teased. My thoughts are with you and all the family.

Martin was an easy going man with a great sense of humor.  Enjoyed many summer evenings on the back patio playing board games and cards with Martin, Jackie, Sharon, and Shaun.
