Fritzie was the beloved daughter of Cristina Aquino Jra and Francisco Aquino, and sister to Herbert Aquino and Rudyard Ian Aquino. She was also a beloved step-sister to Cindy Aquino, Cristina Aquino, and Mac Francis Aquino, and sister-in-law to Rebecca. She was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephew, Chloe Marie, Anna Marie, and Francis Lloyd. She shared her life with her loving partner, Dean Loyer.
She was a devoted mother to Kay Shanine Carpeso, Kyr Elaine Macasiray, and Karl Francis Aquino, and lovingly welcomed her stepdaughters, Britnee and Shania, into her family. She was also a cherished mother-in-law to Geofrey, Denielle, and Brad.As well as her dear kumare and kumpadre, Cristina, Daniel, and Popsi, whose friendship and presence held a special place in her heart.
One of Fritzie's greatest joys was being a grandmother to Gian, Logan, Amelia, Kenji, Lucy, Zain, and Ines. Her grandchildren brought so much happiness to her life, and she loved spending time with them and making herself available whenever her family needed her.
Fritzie's life was a beautiful story of courage, sacrifice, faith, and love.
Becoming a mother to three children at a young age, she worked tirelessly to build a better future for her family. With remarkable courage, she left the Philippines and traveled far from home in search of greater opportunities. Her journey took her to Singapore, Taiwan, and eventually Canada, where she worked hard, built a new life, and later brought her three children to join her.
Starting over in another country was not always easy, but Fritzie was brave and resilient. Through years of sacrifice and being far from the people she loved, her faith gave her strength. In Canada, she formed beautiful and lasting friendships, welcomed her mother years later, watched her children build lives of their own, and eventually experienced one of her greatest blessings—becoming a grandmother.
Fritzie dedicated much of her working life to caring for others as a Health Care Aide. Her coworkers knew her for her kindness, generosity, dedication, and the genuine care she showed to those around her. She touched many lives not simply through the work she did, but through the person she was. She was known for giving her very best to her work and treating those in her care with kindness and compassion.
And Fritzie knew how to enjoy life. ❤️
We will always remember her beautiful smile, unforgettable laugh, generous heart, and, of course, her fun TikTok dances that brought so much joy and laughter to her family and friends.
Fritzie was also a true lover of the sky. She found wonder in sunrises and sunsets, the Aurora Borealis, the stars, and quiet nights spent stargazing. She had a special appreciation for the beauty above and reminded those around her to pause, look up, and appreciate God's beautiful creation.
Perhaps it was fitting that her final goodbye came at sunrise, beneath the beautiful sky she loved so dearly. It was a bittersweet moment for our family. Our hearts were heavy with the pain of saying goodbye, yet at the same time, we felt a deep sense of peace. As the morning sky filled with light, we found comfort knowing that Fritzie was finally at rest, surrounded by love and held in God's grace.
Fritzie grew up with a Christian foundation through the faith of her mother. In the final chapter of her life, she found a spiritual home at the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th Watch). We are especially grateful that during her last days of strength, she was able to reflect on how good God had been throughout her life and recognize that so many of her prayers had been answered by His grace.
She found peace knowing that her children were grown, stable, and building lives and families of their own. After spending so much of her life working, sacrificing, caring, and praying for her children, she could finally rest knowing that they would be okay.
Fritzie's life was not measured simply by the years she lived, but by the lives she touched, the family she built, the sacrifices she made, the friendships she treasured, and the love she gave so freely.
From a young mother in the Philippines, to a courageous woman who crossed countries to provide for her children, to a hardworking immigrant building a life in Canada, and finally to a deeply loved mother and grandmother—Fritzie truly lived a wonderful and meaningful life.
Her family takes comfort in knowing that her faith remained with her and that she left this world surrounded by love.
Her beautiful smile, joyful laugh, generous heart, and love for the skies will remain with us always.
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”
