Geraldine Jessie Kwasnitza

14 July, 1937 – 21 May, 2026
IN THE CARE OF

Memories Funeral Home

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother, Geraldine Jessie Kwasnitza. Geraldine passed peacefully in the early morning of May 21, 2026, with her family nearby.

“Gerrie” as she liked to be called, was born into a large family and raised in Lethbridge Alberta. Although she fought many health battles from an early age, she lived a full, wonderful 88 years and is now happy in the loving arms of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Geraldine is survived by her children, grandchildren and sisters; daughter Kim and husband Ron, daughter Lisa and husband Dave, son David and wife Kelly, and youngest daughter Deborah. Granddaughter Jaclyn, grandson Darion and granddaughter Kady. Sisters; Irene Cohrs, Emily Thomas, Darlene Emard and Leona Levins, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Geraldine is predeceased by her parents Mary and John Salamon, siblings, Rudy Salamon, Alice Hargreaves, Marlene Salamon, Marg Kudeba, John Salamon Jr. and infant brother Andrew Salamon.

Geraldine loved God, Jesus and her family. She enjoyed many years of farming, gardening and cooking. The latter part of her working years was spent providing home care for others, and after retirement the artist awoke. She was very talented at water painting and loved making her ceramic figurines come to life. Her hands were never idle, and her mind was always curious, busy reading and learning.

A special thank you to all the beautiful care givers that were her extended family at Christensen’s Village at Westmount. You cared for and brought her comfort and safety.

Gerrie lives in the hearts of everyone who loved and knew her. She will forever be cherished and will always be near us.

She is finally reunited with her family in heaven.
