Above all else, Glenn was a dad, and not only to his own. He stayed home and raised his son, Sean, with endless patience and more time than most fathers get. He always had a dad joke ready, and he seldom made it to the punchline without laughing at himself first.
Glenn and Yula married later in life, each with children already grown: his son Sean, and her three, Faith, Paul, and Love. They enjoyed fifteen years together. From the start, her cultural and spiritual community took Glenn in as family, and he gave himself to it fully. They gave him the name that fit him best: "Daddy Glenn."
Faith was living with them when her son, Craig, was born. Glenn was there from his grandson's very first day and became a father figure to him for the rest of his life, the same steady presence Sean had grown up with.
He was there for all of them: Faith, Paul, and Love, and his other grandchildren, Tyshawn and Ryle. If they needed a ride, he drove them. If they had something on the calendar, he showed up. If they loved something, he wanted to hear about it. Whatever they set out to do, he was for it.
Glenn is lovingly remembered by his wife, Yula; his son, Sean (Jennie); his step-children, Faith, Paul (Hazeline), and Love (Russel); his grandchildren, Tyshawn, Craig, and Ryle; his sisters, Teresa (David) and Donna; his nieces and nephews, who adored him; and the many friends and family members who were dear to his heart.
He is now reunited with his parents, Victor and Maxine Ouimet.
