Sending my deepest condolences. G. Wetherup was my captain at fire station 20 when I was a rookie. I always enjoyed working with him, and my number one job was to make sure absolutely no cilantro made it into our meals. RIP 

As mentioned in so many other posts Greg was such a nice guy. I worked with him over the years and admired his calm and gentle ways. He always remembered past conversations and always asked about your family. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers to the family and I hope you find comfort in your memories ❤️

Sorry to hear about Gregs passing. Greg was probably one of the nicest guys you would ever meet and one of my favorite officers I have had over the years. I always enjoyed and appreicaited when he would occasionally stop by my house after his retirement to say hi and see how the family was doing. Had some great chats with him. Greg will be missed!

Before his retirement; Greg had bad luck and had a diagnosis with  the M.S.A. Illness.

Loved working with Greg. Many nights driving him on Tanker 20 were always enjoyable because of the great conversations we would have.  "Baby sitting" car accidents for three hours would just fly by talking with him. I really appreciated how I wouldn't see me for a few months and he would remember our conversations we had and continue on where we left off. He was one of my favorite people to work with, its  a sad day.

So very sorry to hear of Greg's passing. 
I worked with Greg to many years at #3.
I will miss him. A job well done.

Greg was a thoughtful person, I work with Greg, his common sense always kept me moving in the right direction.
My last conversation with him was thanking him for how happy he made my daughter, Angie, when he returned a 1976 Ramcharger that he acquired from her in the 1990's.
 He is and will be missed but always remembered.

Very shocked and saddened to hear of Greg's passing. We shared officer duties together at #6.  Greg was conscientious , a calm presence , soft spoken and an easy guy to be around.
