

Born on May 12, 1948, in Canora, Saskatchewan, Harvey lived a life full of warmth, kindness, and quiet strength. He touched the lives of many with his generous spirit, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family and friends.
Harvey is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Margaret Anaka, his daughter Barbara D’Ilio (Rory D’Ilio), and his son Bradley Anaka (Tekoa Anaka). He was a proud and cherished grandfather to Ethan and Ryan D’Ilio, and Kolby Anaka.
He is also survived by his beloved mother, Margaret Anaka, his brother Laddie Anaka (Lois Anaka), and his sister Susan Damgaard and brother in law Andy Farvolden. Harvey was predeceased by his father, Harry Anaka, his sister Cynthia Farvolden and his brother Ray Anaka.
Harvey spent his career as a Chemical Engineer at the Empress Gas Plant, where his intelligence and work ethic earned the respect of colleagues and community alike. He was also a dedicated volunteer in the town of Burstall, Saskatchewan, where he gave generously of his time and talents.
A gifted woodworker, Harvey was an accomplished craftsman who found joy in creating with his hands. He was also an avid sports fan and athlete, playing hockey and golf for much of his life, and enjoying fishing, coaching hockey and baseball, and later becoming the number one fan at his grandsons’ sporting events.
Harvey always had a twinkle of mischief in his eyes and loved nothing more than gathering with friends and family—especially around a big campfire, where stories, laughter, and music flowed freely. He was patient and kind, calm and cool always, and above all, he loved his family deeply, a love that was evident in everything he did.
Harvey’s legacy of love, laughter, and integrity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
