Heather was born on January 28, 1957 in Vanderhoof, British Columbia to Anne and Albin Simrose. She grew up on the family farm with her siblings Gale, Lloyd, Barb, Terry, Carla and Gary. Later moving to Edmonton, Alberta, she married her ex-husband Thomas Bonner and they had three children Michael Bonner, Bryan Bonner (deceased) and Amy Bonner. She was absolutely thrilled to become a grandmother to her three grandchildren Bryden Smith-Volkman, Skyler Bonasoro and Alexander Bonasoro. Heather loved travelling and spending time with her partner Frank MacKay.
With her positivity and beautiful smile, Heather was like a ray of sunshine and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A graveside service will be held in the summer.
