Irene Jaworsky

She was born on March 26, 1934, in Mischori, Poland, to Otto and Emma Ferchoff.

She attended school in Germany and later worked at various jobs there until she immigrated to Canada. She continued working here, then married Arthur Jaworsky and started a family.

Irene was known for her love of gardening, cooking, entertaining, and was deeply involved in volunteering in her church and community. Her faith sustained her throughout her life and carried her to her last moments. She made a lasting impression on all who knew her, including the staff and residents at the Dr Gerald Zetter Center, where she last resided.

Irene is survived by her children Marianne Harris (Trent), Jenny Dannhauer (Daniel), and Alan Jaworsky (Cheryl), 7 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Arthur, both her parents, and all her siblings.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Southside Pentecostal Assembly on Thursday, October 8 at 1 pm.
