It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of James C. Price of Edmonton, Alberta. James passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, quiet strength, and adventure.
James shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Kathleen Price, with whom he built a home filled with warmth and love. He was a proud and loving father to his son, Charles Price, and his daughter, Patty-Ann Price, always offering them steady guidance and a strong foundation for the future.
To many, James was a private man and a hard person to get to know. He was not one to openly show his feelings, choosing instead to express his love and commitment through his actions, his dedication to his family, and the quiet reliability of his presence.
A man of immense talent and intellect, James held multiple trade tickets and was a true master of his craft. He possessed a rare, brilliant mind for how things worked, spending countless hours tinkering, creating, and inventing. This same patience and attention to detail shone through in his work and hobbies, where he would pour over intricate projects with remarkable focus.
When he wasn't in his workshop, James found solace and joy in the great outdoors. He loved the quiet focus of fishing and was an avid hunter who deeply respected nature. His adventurous spirit also took him beneath the waves as a passionate scuba diver.
James’s presence will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and those who came to know and respect the private, capable man he was.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you cast a line, create something, or spend time in the quiet of nature in his honor, keeping his inventive and independent spirit alive.
