Dearest Masiji, we miss you so much every day. You were always there for everybody. You were like a rock for us during our most difficult times, with your love, care and encouragement. You are always in our fond memories and in our prayers. May Waheguruji always keep you in His loving embrace! We love you and miss you more than words can express.

It’s not possible to express the pain we all feel in words about our Aunt’s passing. She was undoubtedly very kind, humble, happy and honest during her entire life. She gave us all the help we needed with lots of motivation and inspiration for settling here in Canada. We were so blessed to have an aunt who is always there for help when we need and we miss her so so much now. Her love to us all  is unforgettable and we were so privileged to have you as our very special aunt. She was an incredible sister, mother, wife and aunt. December 19, 2012 — that was the first day I met Massiji. Gogi bhaji and Tayaji brought my friend and I to massiji’s place where the entire family was gathered in -40c weather to welcome us. That was a confusing day for me to be honest. I had landed in a new country, everything was covered in snow and I remember thinking to myself, “I want my mommy” (I was an 18 year old kid, moving 3000 miles away from home, cut me some slack please) but as soon as I entered the house everything changed. I felt the warm embrace of family that I had been missing for the last two days and I had two mothers to take care of me, Massiji and Tayiji. 

Massiji had this aura where if you were in the room as her, you would just feel love. It was like someone was embracing you and telling you, “koina everything will be ok”, which is why I loved our games nights. I’d be failing in my classes and I would come over and I would be like everything is ok, it will be fine. This is something I have missed for sometime now and I will miss it. 

I regret not being able to say thank you to her. I wish I could tell her how her love and support during those initial years of my life in Canada got me to where I am today. I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way.

Massiji had a pure soul and was a kind and a loving person who always cared for others. I know she’s with waheguru now but I will miss her. 



Losing a mother is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know. But her goodness, her caring and her wisdom lives on like a legacy of love that will always be with you.

Massiji was the sweetest, kindest person you could ever meet.  She inspired everyone with her love and compassion and was such a beautiful soul. 

My deepest sympathies go out to Dulai family. May her beautiful memories bring you comfort and solace during this tough time. Thinking of your family and praying you find moments of peace and comfort in the midst of your grief.

A mother is a shooting star, who passes through your life once.

Upon a mothers passing away, her bereaved family involuntarily enters a head space comprising of a monumental sense of desolation. Strange are the ways of God but yet they have to be accepted.

My heart goes out to Massarji, who's lost his soul mate. His life partner of several decades. Love to Massarji.
I convey my heartfelt sympathies to Massiji's children & relate to your plight. Three years ago an inherent part of me died along with my precious mother but please know & understand that your beloved mother lives on in your hearts as your guiding angel. Immortalise your mother in your prayers & you will gradually observe a pristine reflection of your mother in your lovely children.

Auntiji was a caring and kind person.  My family had the honour of knowing her since I was in Elementary School after having arrived to Canada in the 70’s.   Her generosity was something that we saw every time we met her, even if it was after many months of not seeing each other.  She raised four kind and respectful children who all share her qualities and I am honoured to call my friends.  While we will all miss her dearly, we will always remember Auntiji for the amazing person that she was and we will never forget her.  🙏🏽

What we remember most about Auntie is her kindness and generosity.  Her bright smile was indicative of her endless positivity and optimism.   Auntie was such a genuine individual and we admired her quiet strength and humility.  The devotion she showed to her family was truly inspirational. 

We will look back fondly on the many gatherings at the Dulai residence and the way Auntie always made everyone feel welcomed and loved.   

We are sincerely sorry for the tremendous loss for those she has  left behind.  We pray that as time goes on her memories will only bring smiles to your faces.

I remember first meeting Auntie when Sukhdeep and I were taking a physics course together in University.  I remember feeling overwhelmed with Auntie’s kindness and touched by her gentle nature.  Over the years, I had the privilege of getting to know Auntie better, and she continually impressed me with the ease with which she could comfort those who needed it with her wit and humour or impart her wisdom without them even knowing it.  Any time I was around Auntie, she would make me feel special and cared for – it would leave me longing for more. She just had that way about her.  You can see all her beautiful qualities reflected in her children – all four of them are caring, considerate and generous with their love.  No words can ease the pain you are feeling from this profound loss, but we pray that the precious memories you created will bring you some comfort during this difficult time.  We are so honoured and truly blessed to have known such an amazing person.

I cherish the memory of those few days I spent with you in Feb 2012.  You were one of the most loving, gentle and beautiful soul I have come across in my life. Not for one second I felt that I was meeting you for the first time! I so looked forward to visit Canada one day and had Ruab meet you and get to know you. It makes me feel so sad that my daughter never got to meet you in person. Rest In Peace Bhua Ji. You will be dearly missed  by each and every member of family 😞😞

I miss Auntie Jas so much.

Thousands of miles away in Singapore, I’m left with beautiful memories of an aunt who showered all her love and affection on me when I was studying in Edmonton.  Auntie Jas was a pillar of strength and support giving me the love of my family when I was homesick. I looked forward to the weekends when I’d take Bus 68 to Millwoods to spend time with dear Auntie Jas, Uncle Dilsheer & all of you.   I have such fond memories of the conversations we had late into the night after dinner - reminiscing about Auntie’s family back home and how everyone was doing. Auntie was also such a fabulous cook whipping up the tastiest meals for the family - mouth watering food made with such love.  I was so lucky that I had her love! 

Auntie Jas had the sweetest smile, kindest heart, and so much warmth, care and concern for everyone in her life. She gave all her time, energy, and attention to all of us making sure we were all well taken care off and happy.  I have such fond memories of her and will treasure the good moments forever.

We miss you so much and I wish I could have met you again, Auntie Jas, but it was not meant to be.

Jas Masiji was the epitome of love, compassion, caring and concern for all, courageous in the face of all adversities, witty, humorous, very sociable, wise and empathetic. All of us have seen and felt these qualities, and more, in our association with her. Her personality has touched our lives in so many different ways. She has left us with so many lessons learnt from her life; and her qualities that we may strive to emulate.
A lot of us are very lucky to have known her, and been the recipient of her love and concern. My brother and I wonder how she knew what we were going through after we lost our parents, and how well she knew how to comfort us.
Today I extend those words of love and compassion to Masad ji, Gurpreet, Sukhdeep, Gurdeep and Gurjeet. You all completed her whole persona and we all see her in all of you.
May Jas Masiji's noble soul rest in peace with the Almighty.

My mamiji,one of my most favourite persons.Her warmth  and understanding cannot be described enough through words.She was always there whenever I needed someone to talk to,our conversations on wattsapp went on for hours.A very family oriented person who loved the joint family set up , traditional get togethers and good home cooked meals.She was a mother figure for me and she will always be missed.I shall try to follow her footsteps and may waheguru impart us all strength to bear this loss  and may the departed soul rest in peace.

It's said that some things never change - that was so true of Aunty's kind and caring nature that were apparent since the first time our families met over 40 years ago. We will always remember her smile and her hugs! She loved so many and so many loved her. Her strength and toughness were admirable - she inspired us by how she carried herself. We are so blessed to have known her. She was such an amazing and beautiful soul. We will miss her so much but she will never be forgotten - her spirit lives on in all of us. 

We have such fond memories of Auntie and getting together at the Dulai home during our university days.  Auntie was always so gracious and making sure everyone was taken care of.  Although we don’t get together as a big group as often as we used to, whenever we did see Auntie - when we’d come over for our football drafts, a New Year brunch or a Vaisakhi party  – Auntie always had a smile, open arms and a big hug for us.    
We’re so sorry for your loss - we are all going to miss her terribly.  Keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers.

Bhua Nani was someone who taught me many things in life. She taught me that family does not have to be blood related. I will always cherish the memories I had with her.

Your mom was a beautiful soul. The grief felt is an indicator of the tremendous love she leaves behind. 

I recall meeting her in the late 90s. She had a quiet unassuming way and I will miss her floating around during all of the Dulai gatherings as she made sure her family was cared for and their guests made to feel so very welcome. 

I also remember, as I was going through a difficult time in my own life many years ago, your mom was concerned that I was losing weight. She sent Gurdeep to my house with his arms full of food to deliver. In particular,  remember her lasagne. 

Such an incredible loss, but she’s home now and waiting patiently to be reunited with her family one day.

What a shock when I learnt about my Aunt's unexpected recent passing. As I live in Singapore, I remember meeting her not too many times in my life. What I do remember is that she was a very kind and nice lady and she was close to my Dad and Mom for sure.

We mourn her untimely passing and hope she is in a better place and reunited with her siblings as well. Deepest condolences to my cousins who i know love their mom very much! 

RIP Puaji 

The thing that I remember most about Mrs. Dulai was her continual positivity and brightness. She always had a smile that brighten the room and brought a smile to me. She made all of us feel like family. We will miss her deeply but her spirit will live in us always. 

When I think of Mamiji, the words love, compassion and comfort come to mind. Whenever I stayed in Edmonton I felt nothing but a deep sense of loving and care from Mamiji.  I never felt like I was away from home but just visiting my other home where I was definitely well looked after.  I remember her sweet voice and conversations we would have. I see many of her qualities in Sukhdeep, Gurpreet, Gurdeep and Gurjeet.  Although it is difficult to loose someone, I find solace that part of her lives on within each of you. 

There are no words which really tell how much someone means to us and how much they are missed when they go...
Some people come into our lives and just touch the surface, others touch the heart and Pua ji was one of those who reached inside.  I will miss our chats, phone charged and a cup of tea at the ready knowing I would be on the phone for at least an hour! 😁
We often spoke of Dad and how much we both missed him and how things would never be the same again, to him and you family was important and
I promise in both your memories we will do our utmost to keep the bonds strong like you.
And of course we had our little gossips putting the world to right but those will remain between you and me 😉

Naniji adopted me for 8 whole years and took better care of me than a grandchild could ever ask for! From the “Neelinder Singh Rai aa gya? Khaana banaiye fer?” After I got back from the university to “Beta sleep on time you have to wake up early tomorrow” before an exam. She cared more for me than my teenage self ever realized or appreciated then. She’d keep asking me to eat healthy and drink milk before bed and I’d grudgingly agree. She’s was every bit my nani, and I, every bit her grandson. She gave a lot of wisdom, love, care, AMAZING food and most importantly, some excellent memories to cherish for the rest of my living days! Naniji, you made me a better man! I’ll forever miss you and your freshly baked cheese scones!

So sorry for your loss and also recognizing that your mother was always kind and gracious whenever we met. She was the pillar for your family and I hope that you will heal from her loss over time.

Our sincerest condolences to you all on the passing of Auntie. She was a very special woman and always had a kind word and a smile for everyone. She left behind many blessings, and she will be missed by many. Sending our prayers and thoughts to you and your family.

Auntie was such a warm, caring person. Always making sure everyone was taken care of, and not resting until all of her guests were well fed - and with her amazing cooking we were frequently back for more!  And of course there she would be, in the kitchen, making sure all was ok with her welcoming smile. She did not rest until the evening was done. So many of us were blessed to have known her. 

Aunty, your legacy is your family and how the world views them. Please know they are the most amazing, welcoming, and caring people weare honoured to call friends but really think of as family. Their kind words and caring actions echo how you always treated us, you did a great job aunty, your strong family values will live on.

My heart goes out to the whole Dulai family and to everyone who loved her. This is such a huge loss. Auntieji was a big part of my childhood as she not only helped raised her own 4 beautiful kids but also my own siblings.

Jas Bhainji was a kind of person whose like is very difficult to find these days . She was someone whose love for could be seen in her eyes. We will miss her.!

Auntieji where do I begin?  I have so many fond memories.  Taabio coming to your room to wake you up and jumping on your bed and you laughing.  Your kitchen was the heart of our gatherings from chocolate chip muffins, to butter chicken to thanksgiving turkey dinner I learned to love the culinary skills you shared with me.  Auntieji you were a mom to me from the first day we met.  You loved me, taught me, consoled me and set me straight too.  There was never a time I couldn’t count on you.  I pray for your eternal peace and happiness but I’m so very heart broken that I can’t call you anymore but I know you will always be there.  You were my rock and my hero.  There can never be another gem 💎 like you.  Mehtaab is so very blessed to be your “first” grandchild because you loved him that much.  I wish auntieji there was some way to repay your kindness but we will do the best to live up to your expectations and live by the lessons you taught us. I wish we could have taken care of you and had the chance to say goodbye.  I have always loved you and forever will.  Forgive our shortcomings and continue to guide us auntieji 🙏🏽. Phuaji is remembered as wonderfully kind, caring and loving with a very warm nature.  Although we were miles apart, when I was not well, she reached out to my parents to send me her love and to find out how I was improving. Also,  my older sister, studied in Edmonton, and since those days has always praised Puaji for all what she had done in the warmest love and care to help her settle in and feel happy in Edmonton, especially around the tastiest meals. We all have remember Phuaji for the positive and special thoughts she left with us and miss her.

Words don’t come easily to write fair well to my only sister in law.  She left us on February 22, 2021. That was the darkest day in our lives.  Everybody was broken.  Being Patriarch of the family it hurts me the most.  Jaswinder was a perfect life partner of my younger brother, an exceptionally caring mother and loving grandmother.  My wife joins me for paying  her high respects for being a shining star of the family.  No one can equal her unconditional love and devotion to the welfare of the family.  Will be hard to adjust without her.   Rest In Peace dearest sister in law.  Your memories will last for ever.   With wet eyes and heavy heart,  my regards and respects.

We were (are) a large group of friends, the ‘Kriegers - loud, obnoxious, and most of all inseparable - Aunty always accepted all of us with open arms into her heart and her home (and especially her kitchen.... who can forget crowding around Gurpreet at lunchtime to see how many parathas mom sent?!  Were there enough to share?  Of course there ALWAYS were!).  That was her way, she knew no different.   We are all forever blessed for having known her, and even more so for being considered and treated by her as Family.   For that, Aunty you will always live on in our hearts and souls.   We will miss you here, but forever wish you peace and rest.

It is an honor to be related to the family where Auntie Ji became the joining link. It feels like 'She is more now rather than no more'. One of the calmest persons I have ever met and spreading love with the simple gestures from the first meeting with anyone. There was a certain sense of freedom when she was around.. Like you don't have to worry about anything because she was taking care of everything and everyone. Unfortunately, God tests His softest loved ones with the hardest tests. She zoomed through all of those without slight hint of pain ever on her face. Rest in Peace dear as we will all miss you and hopefully be half as nice as you were.
