Jo-Ann Marie Blackstock

June 15, 1959 – March 14, 2011

It is with great sadness that we announce that Jo-Ann Marie Blackstock went to sleep and woke up in the arms of her Lord on March 14, 2011 after a valiant struggle with cancer. She is predeceased by her parents Florence and Al Blackstock and sister Sandra.

Jo-Ann’s life was enriched by her three daughters Leah (Jeff), Sheena (Grant), and Kristen (and her grandchild soon to enter this world) and their forever devoted father Bill. She was a favoured younger sister to brother Greg (Claudia), sister Linda (Robert) and sister Deborah. Her nephews and nieces have lost a wonderful and compassionate Aunt; her best and devoted friend Randy has lost a close confidant; her second family the Lesons’ -Sandra, Jo-Ann, Bob, Bill, Laurie, Rosemary and Paula have lost a beloved “adopted” sister. Her friends have lost a loyal and loving friend.

A memorial service celebrating Jo-Ann’s life will be held at Memories Funeral Home, 13403 St. Albert Trail, Edmonton, AB on March 18, 2011 at 3:00 PM .

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Health Equipment Loan Program of the Canadian Red Cross.
