November 3, 1944 – August 23, 2014
On August 23, 2014, Joan, our precious wife, mom and sister passed away at the age of 69 with her family by her side. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband and best friend of forty nine years, Gerald: her children, Charmaine (Ronald) Krywko, Robert Soetaert, Angela (Chris) Fehr, and her daughter-in-law Donna Soetaert; her thirteen grandchildren, Damian, Braeden, Daylen, Briony (Soetaert), Marshall, Desmond, Kelsey, Sherneese, Cesylia (Krywko), Hayley, Jorja (Soetaert), Grady, Jaidyn (Fehr), as well as many relatives and friends. Joan is predeceased by her eldest son Bryan Soetaert. She is also predeceased by her parents James & Margaret Klak, brothers George and Jim, sister-in-law Claire, and brother-in-law John. A prayer service was held at 8:00pm on Friday, August 29, 2014 and a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 30, 2014. Both services were held at St. Peter’s Parish in Villeneuve, with Father Miguel Irizar as celebrant.
